I'm not a teacher or lecturer who qualified to teach people what is the institute of life, but as what i know and learn, i share. Facing people around you is not like playing with the dolly that simple. Especially the first ever impression you gave people, it follows forever, this is true and better trust me. To strangers, you might think that they are not someone you care or neither categories as your friends. They maybe just a friend of friend. They maybe those people that you seldom meet. They might be passby-er in your life. But especially for Chinese, polite is what decide on the perception towards you.


I just meet few person lately. Some polite, some........really you will definitely dont want to respond to these kind of people. They were searching for help on renting rooms over here in Kampar. Two very contrast example: the boy asked me "i wanted to rent a room, may i know when you are free? or are you free now? cause i wanted to see the room. sorry for causing trouble." and another girl sms me asked " I'm student from TARC. want to see room. Can open the door?"


What on earth the girl was thinking? I will always standby for her at home? she asked as if i'm definitely will lend my hand for her. But sorry girl, for the kind of person who are as impolite as you, as simple as you, i might help you once on giving you residents' contact number, but dont you ever expect me to follow up your issue. Help yourself. I was not around to help them. But for the boy, i willing to help him contact the students that still staying at that house, somemore willing to adjust my time for him if the resident of the house is not free. Not because who is he or what, just because he is polite. He show me respect and even said thank you and sorry. For me, thank you and sorry is very important, i mean among people that not yet very close and might not categorized as friend yet.


I dont understand what happened to the teenagers nowadays? Parents pampered them so much? My mum always like to bring me along with her friends or company partners or some career friends she knows. She always told me :" Go out with these people more often, you will learn a lot. Dont be a child stay at own comfort zone with own bunch of dont know what type of so called 'friends'." Yes, thank you mum. i've learned something. Something that i cant even describe it out literally.


When people give you a hand, please said Thank You. Even you are in sick or not feeling well, emo, not happy or whatever, the most basic polite is to smile. When people give you a hand no matter you wanted it or he volunteered it, no matter you hates him or you dont like to see him deep inside your heart, you have to give a smile instead of showing your uncomfortable or unhappy face. Say thank you to him no matter you willing or not. You have to remember he helped you, not how much you hate him.


Some people when asking you for a help, they will treat you nicely, this is a very common human attitude, i understand. But there are some people when asking your help, they added in some demanding aspects where by i felt is not right at all. Since you are asking people's help, then somemore you want to add some demands. This is not asking for help, this is demanding for help. If you wanted people's hand, do not expect people will help you for sure and do not expect people will help you no matter what conditions that you keep adding on keep insist on. Who is he/she to you? They are just merely a friend of friend or even people that you not even meet before. What do you expect from a stranger? Dont be a pampered kid that thought this world will be so simple.


Not to say it is normal to take advantages from people, but these do happens all the time in life no matter you or the people around you. Some wise person will still choose to act normal, act polite as if they never tend to take advantage from you. But for some stupid person, he will just show you the face or even just dump you as if they never ask for your help and never talk to you before. This is so called impolite. Human just so sensible to themselves. They always let their feeling taking over their brain and action.


The game of life, if you want to play smart in life, do not let your feeling taking over your brain. Be polite not just to your friends, even to your enemy. No matter you are willing to be or not, just do it. Wise people are polite. Are you wise enough?
